A Scientifically Proven way to treat ADD/ADHD and other learning differences

Successful Learning Strategies helps children and adults with learning differences (particularly ADD/ADHD and dyslexia) to build the attention and focus skills necessary to become more successful in studies and in life, and significantly reduce or eliminate the need for medication in many cases.  Successful Learning Strategies is the only office with fully trained, advanced certified administrators of this program currently in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

At Successful Learning Strategies, we begin with a comprehensive evaluation performed by our Registered Professional Educational Diagnostician, which will be designed and customized to identify an individuals strengths and weaknesses.  Then we customize the Working Memory training program to help develop the areas in need of improvement.  Think of working memory training as calisthenics for your brain.  For more detailed information on working memory training and how it was developed and how it works, click on the link to "Working Memory Training."

Utilizing the computer based working memory training program, the individual progresses through a series of specialized brain "exercises" which gradually increase in complexity and difficulty over time.  Training sessions are typically attended two times per week for one hour per session for ten weeks.  We also have programs of more intensive training in shorter durations.  Contact us for information.  Halfway through this program, we will administer a progress evaluation similar to the one that was given initially, to gauge the success of the individual progress.

Typically, significant progress is made during the training program in all areas identified in the initial diagnostic testing process.  Most individuals need little, if any follow up beyond this period.  To explain it in exercise physiology terms, we've developed the muscle and since you will keep using it once you know how to properly use it, it will stay in shape!
